Class  & Event Schedule at Miniature Designs:  (For more description, pictures, class cost and payments online see Class Registrations.)

Christmas in July:  We're going to try something different for National Dollhouse and Miniatures Month, and we're calling it "Christmas in July."  Come into the shop NOW for your FREE 6" project tree and optional base.   Your challenge is to decorate the tree any way you wish and return it to Miniature Designs by 6pm on Tuesday, September 28.  You may electrify the tree and/or setting if you wish, but due to space limitations, the base must be no larger than 6" x 6" and must be "open" (i.e., no roombox, dome, etc.).

Don't "do" Christmas?  That's okay!  You can call it a Hanukkah Tree, Holiday Tree, or "just a tree" Tree!  Your imagination is the only limitation!

Voting will begin October 1 and cease October 30 promptly at noon, with winners announced at 3pm.  We'll have an adult division (age 16 & over) and youth (under 16) divisions, and the designers of the top 3 winning trees in each division will receive prizes donated by Miniature Designs.

Voting this year will be with cash.  Each tree will have a container to collect "votes" and the trees with the highest dollar amount will be the winners.  ALL proceeds will be donated to the Piedmont CASA organization.  A division of the National CASA, the organization works with children that have been abused, neglected, or abandoned to make sure they don't get lost in the overburdened legal and social system or languish in an inappropriate group or foster home.  The advocate stays with each case until it is closed or the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.  I (Bev) have been involved directly with this organization for about a year and a half, and truly believe that I can make a difference in the life of at least one child.  With your help, we can build the organization so that more children can be helped.
