This hand painted brown transferware China Bowl was done by IGMA fellow Teresa Welch of The China Closet. The artistry is impeccable on this whimsical piece, and features a nautical theme of no less than nine sailing ships--three masted schooners that ply the sea, both on the inside and outside of the bowl! The footed bowl has a scalloped rim that is gilded for an authentic touch. Piece is signed and dated 1987 by Artisan.
