Flagstones Tiles, Welsh Green

These lovely flagstones are cut from real stone and slate. They come ready cut to 2" x 1 1/2" and are ideal for pavements or for stone or slate floors in a large kitchen or basement. They make great platforms for model railways or can be used for paths and patios in miniature gardens. Approx. 2mm thick. Covers Approximately, 100 Sq Ins

Instructions:

1. Make sure your floor surface is clean and dry, then lay your flagstones out until you are happy with their position, allow approx. 1mm for mortar joints. Remove loose dust with a damp cloth and apply quick grip to the back of each piece and glue in place.
2. Softer stone can be cut or shaped with a craft knife, simply score then snap over a straight edge. For harder stone you can use a junior hacksaw or tile pliers. To round edges rub onto medium grade abrasive paper. To cut Real Slate score both sides of the slate with a craft knife and then snap between your fingers, or use tile pliers or a junior hacksaw (in this case a dust mask should be worn for protection).
3. Allow the glue to dry thoroughly before proceeding to the next stage.
4. Use modge podge matte and using a brush, paint this over your flagstones, allow to dry thoroughly. Your flagstones are now ready for grouting.
5. Instructions for grouting can be found on the packet of our Mortar/Grout mix. Please note. While other grouts can give satisfactory results some DO NOT. We therefore recommend the use of our Mortar/Grout to assure a reliable realistic finish.
