They were most popular between the 1930s and the 1950s, but there is no specific date of invention as it developed over time as a matter of convenience and necessity. This Gossip bench is a British design recognizable because of its ornate finish and single drawer to store telephone books etc.The Gossip bench comes upholstered in a white brocade style fabric and has a walnut finish.
